Mr Edrick Ho (Ed) joined UOB in January 2017 and is the Technology and Operations (T&O) Head for Customer Digital Channels across UOB’s Retail Banking businesses in the region. In this role, Ed is responsible for defining, developing, and delivering holistic T&O capabilities to enable the business’ growth agenda.
Ed joined UOB from the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ Bank) where he was responsible for driving the digital agenda of the Retail Banking and Wealth Management franchise across the Asia Pacific region. His roles included Regional Head of Digital, Channel Management, Retail Platforms and Wealth Platforms. During this time Ed helped grow the business significantly through acquisitions, standardisation of platforms and operating models, building award winning digital innovations, and driving digital usage and sales.
Prior to ANZ, Ed worked at St George Bank where he was responsible for the bank’s wealth management software business which delivered CRM, financial planning and portfolio management solutions to both the bank’s staff along with independent financial advisors across the industry.
Ed started his career in Deutsche Bank where his passion for business and technology began through building and commercialising financial planning and knowledge management software applications.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Sydney and a Masters of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.

Mr Kevin Lam is the Head of TMRW and Group Digital Banking at UOB. He leads the strategy for the Bank’s overall Digital Banking initiatives and oversees the roll-out of TMRW, UOB’s digital bank for ASEAN’s digital generation, in its key markets across the region. TMRW launched in its first market, Thailand, in March 2019, and subsequently in Indonesia in August 2020.
Kevin has been with UOB since 2005 and served in various senior positions including Managing Director and Head of Personal Financial Services in UOB Malaysia from 2011 to 2013 and Deputy CEO of UOB Malaysia from 2013 to 2015. He was most recently the President Director of UOB Indonesia in 2015 until September 2020, when he took on his current role.
Kevin had worked for several large international foreign banks and technology companies in Singapore, USA, and Hong Kong for more than a decade before joining UOB Group. In his 25 years of experience in the banking industry, he has held a range of positions in the areas of strategic planning, business management, product development, sales and distribution, technology and banking infrastructure development and other areas of corporate services.

These serve client segments from core banking to wealth and privilege reserve banking. She previously headed the unsecured lending business for Singapore and the region. Her functional coverage includes mobile and digital banking, sales and distribution, marketing, customer franchise and business analytics.
Jacquelyn has more than 22+ years of experience in the finance industry. Before joining UOB, she headed unsecured lending for Citibank Singapore. She started her career as a Citi Management Associate and gained a breadth of experience across treasury, consumer finance, wealth management, marketing as well as managing onshore and offshore segments.
Jacquelyn holds a Master of Science in Finance from Imperial College London, and a Bachelor of Economics and Statistics from University College London.

Mr Eric Tham has more than 40 years of banking experience, with a specialised focus on SMEs. He helms UOB’s SME portfolio, both in Singapore and across the region. Eric is always looking out for innovative banking solutions to help clients’ businesses grow sustainably. As a result, he has achieved many firsts through his career.
Eric established the first GIobal Business Development Unit in 2004, dedicated to helping Singapore companies take advantage of regional opportunities. This was further complemented with the first Foreign Direct Investment Advisory in 2011, which assists global companies looking to expand their operations into ASEAN markets, while leveraging Singapore as a business hub. Eric was instrumental in the set-up of UOB-SMU Asian Enterprise Institute in 2012 – the first institute in Asia that helps local SMEs grow and expand their business in Asia. With the setting up of Innoven Capital, a joint venture with Temasek, another first was achieved, with venture debt lending extended to high-tech start-ups in the region.
With extensive achievements and contributions to the banking industry, Eric has been conferred the title “Distinguished Financial Industry Certified Practitioner” (FICP) by The Institute of Banking and Finance since 2010. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).

Prior to joining UOB, Aaron was the Group Head for Digital Banking at Standard Chartered Bank and was heavily involved in the bank’s online and mobile transformation.
Aaron started off his career in the finance industry at DBS Bank more than 10 years ago, after gaining valuable experience at online companies such as Yahoo Asia. Having been in both the business and technology space, he is well versed with the issues and challenges in both industries.

In our latest "FinTech in ASEAN: Digital Takes Flight" report, we look at both the rising supply and demand for digital financial services in the region. He also oversees UOB’s digital engagement with online visitors and customers.
Prior to joining UOB, Arthur was a director and executive advisor for CEB’s financial services practice in Asia, providing best practice insights to senior executives in wealth management, retail and business banking on their most pressing strategic priorities. Early on in his career, Arthur was responsible for management reporting at ABN AMRO transaction banking in Asia and was involved in financial services consultancy at Accenture.
Arthur was a university scholar and holds an Honours Degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago. He is also a board director of a large non-profit organisation in Singapore, serving as a member of its Treasury and Investment committees.

He joined from MSCI, where as Head of South Asia Client Coverage he was responsible for strengthening MSCI’s presence in South Asia, specifically in the ASEAN region and India, for their Index, Data and Analytics, and ESG businesses, while also enhancing coverage of leading asset-owners and institutional clients.
Before that, he was at Bento, a leading digital wealth technology provider, where he served as the Head of Institutional Client Engagement. In previous roles, he was responsible for Asset Owner and Insurance Sector Sales in Asia Pacific at State Street Bank and Trust Singapore. He has also held senior positions at global asset managers including Aviva Investors, Prudential Asset Management (now Eastspring Investments) and Turner Investments.

Eng Keat is responsible for developing partnerships with government agencies, trade associations and professional service providers. These partnerships support the Bank’s efforts to help companies set up and to grow their operations as they tap opportunities across Asia.
He is also responsible for raising awareness on how UOB can support companies in their cross-border expansion by developing strategic marketing initiatives and participating at relevant industry forums.
Eng Keat brings his more than 20 years' experience with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) to UOB. During his time at EDB, he developed strategies to engage with global logistics, utility and agrifood companies to drive their investments into Singapore and to position the country as a springboard to the Asia Pacific region.
He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana - Champaign with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Mr Arvid Swartsenburg is a senior banker with over two decades experience as a financial services practitioner and consultant across Europe, US, Africa and Asia. Arvid currently is Head of Partnerships and Strategy for TMRW Digital Group (TDG) by UOB, a mobile-only bank focused on the digital generation across Southeast Asia.
From 2010 to 2020, Arvid was a Principal at Arete Financial Partners, a boutique Management Consultancy focused on supporting financial services clients manage change. In this role, Arvid led a wide range of complex projects across Asia and Africa focused on Strategy, O&T, digital transformation, risk management and M&A.
From 2000 to 2010 he worked at Citi’s Global Consumer Business across the US, Europe and Asia, where he held a variety of senior roles across product, channel, sales and distribution, wealth management and strategy.
Arvid is passionate about digital transformation and innovation and how this is increasingly changing the way we work, live and play. He has gained extensive experience in working with a wide range of FinTechs and startups in his consulting role and remains an investor, mentor and advisor across various startups globally.
Arvid holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Bachelor in Arts (BA) degrees in both Economics and Finance from the College of William and Mary in the US and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Melbourne Business School in Australia.

Mr Jasper Wong is currently the Head of Construction and Infrastructure, Sector Solutions Group for UOB. He has strategic coverage focusing on developing sector-specific solutions, leveraging industry insights, data analytics and value-chain analyses.
Before taking up this role, Jasper was the Head of Infrastructure and Project Finance for Asia in UOB. He has over 25 years extensive project and structured finance experience in the region focusing on power, renewables, oil and gas, petrochemical, infrastructure and telecoms financing.
Prior to joining UOB, Jasper worked in the transportation industry as the director of Structured Finance Asia for Bombardier Transportation.

Mr Mervyn Koh is the Managing Director and Country Head of Business Banking within UOB’s Group Retail. He oversees the SME portfolio, in particular, the small business segment in Singapore, with both the sales and product teams reporting to him.
Mervyn has been spearheading the digitalisation of SME banking for small businesses through UOB’s “Beyond Banking” programs, co-creation of business operation solutions like BizSmart and driving partnerships in the SME ecosystem.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business and has more than 19 years of experience in UOB holding varied functions including Human Resources and Business Banking.

Mr Johnson Poh has been a Data Scientist with experience spanning across the finance, consulting and government sectors for the past decade. His present and past professional appointments include being Executive Director and Head Enterprise Artificial Intelligence for UOB Group, Head Data Science/Practice Lead at DBS Bank, Chief Data Scientist, ASEAN at Booz Allen Hamilton as well as Principal Data Scientist at Ministry of Defence, Singapore respectively.
Johnson also serves as an Adjunct Faculty at Singapore Management University (SMU) where his focus areas include applied machine learning as well as big data tools and techniques. He completed his bachelor’s degree at University of California, Berkeley, majoring in the subjects of Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Economics. He received his postgraduate degree in Statistics at Yale University.

The Singapore Sustainability Toolkit (SST) is a new initiative to be launched by Enterprise Singapore in November 2021 in collaboration with Global Green Connect, which helps SMEs embark on their sustainability journey and be part of the Singapore Green Plan 2030.
Through the SST, ESG and Global Green Connect hope to implement a roadmap that helps bring SMEs on board to transform their business sustainably.

Mr Eric Lian joined UOB on 21 September 2021. He is responsible for Wholesale Banking within Group Commercial Banking. This includes Corporate and Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate Institutions, Specialised and Commodities Finance, as well as Special Asset Management.
Prior to that, he was the President and CEO of UOB (China) from June 2013 to June 2016. He was a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee of UOB Group. He has 26 years of banking experience. He began his banking career with UOB in 1989 and joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1995. During his 18 years with SCB, he held several senior positions in the wholesale banking business as well as credit risk management in Singapore and China.
Eric graduated from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
